Working with MS Services

This webinar will explore how to work with your health care teams to get the best outcomes from your appointments. We will also discuss and explain the various scans and tests that are frequently done in both diagnosing and monitoring MS and drug therapies.

This session is for everyone – whether looking to understand the diagnosis journey or better ways to prepare for medical and health care appointments.

About the presenter:
Tim is an MS Nurse Practitioner and MS Queensland’s Manager of Special Education and Community Resources. He has been working in neurosciences for over 21 years in the hospital, community and not for profit sectors. Tim is an MS Nurse Practitioner and MS Queensland’s Manager of Special Education and Community Resources.

He has been working in neurosciences for over 21 years in the hospital, community and not for profit sectors. Tim developed a special interest in MS in the mid 90’s and helped develop an immunotherapy support service at the PA Hospital in Brisbane before moving to support the MS Clinic at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital.

From there he was asked to facilitate the establishment and service development for Wesley Mission Brisbane, successfully gaining full accreditation of service before moving on to his current position with MS Queensland.

Tim is responsible for developing and delivering MS Queensland’s educational programs with people living with MS and relevant health professionals as well as working on the delivery of special projects which address MS from a wellness and self-management perspective.

How MS Webinars Work

Watching MS Webinars

You’ll register online for a webinar, be sent a confirmation and reminder email in the lead up to the webinar, and when the webinar day arrives, be asked to log on to enjoy the webinar from the comfort of your own home. Remember you’ll need to register each time you want to listen in to a webinar, as the webinar logins are unique.

During the webinar you’ll be able to ask questions of our facilitator, view the presentation and notes they are referring to and even go back to re-watch a webinar at a later stage when it suits you.

To register for an MS webinar, you will need to provide a valid email address. Once you have completed the online registration process we will have a record of your email which will not be shared with any other party. If you wish to remain anonymous please set a ‘made up’ username e.g. “Bugs Bunny” along with your valid email address.
