World MS Day 2017 Banner

Be part of the global movement to end multiple sclerosis by getting involved in World MS Day.

World MS Day is 31 May, 2017 and this years theme is 'Life with MS'. Life with MS can be difficult - each day brings new challenges, which need new solutions. We're asking you to share your tips for managing these challenges and help someone else who is living with MS.

WHAT IS WORLD MS DAY?

World MS Day was launched on 27 May 2009 with over 200 events in 67 countries. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness about MS and to strengthen the network of people living with MS across the world. The aims of World MS Day are to raise awareness and mobilise the global movement. Click here to learn more.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

HOST A WORLD MS DAY FUNDRAISER IN YOUR COMMUNITY

Help raise awareness about MS. It might be a presentation at your local school or an information stand at a shopping centre to promote the cause. For more information on how to fundraise for MS please check out our Team Cure MS page or contact us on 07 3840 0887.

MAKE A VIDEO AND SHARE IT

Share your everyday tips for life with MS and help someone else have a better day. Just record a short video message explaining your tip and share the video on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. If video isn’t your style you can share an image, record audio or just write your tips in a blog post, Facebook status or Tweet.

Don’t forget to make sure your privacy is set to ‘public’ and to use the #LifewithMS and #MSQld hashtags and tag us @MSqld.The videos and messages you share will show the creativity, solidarity and hope that exists within the global MS community.

TELL YOUR STORY

Whether you are young or young at heart we would love to hear from you. Sharing your own personal story can be powerful and provide invaluable helping tools to people in our community, particularly newly diagnosed. We’d love to hear and share your story of 'Life with MS'. You might like to:

  • provide inspiration through your unique story of living positively with MS
  • share your everyday tips for life with MS and help someone else have a better day
  • tell us what life with MS is like for you

No two people share the same story, and this program will run all year round to keep sharing individuals stories with the community. Please send through your story to Natalie Walsh by email natalie.walsh@msqld.org.au. If you have any questions or need a hand to share your story, you can also call Natalie on 07 3840 0823.
