We’re ready to help you understand the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and what it could mean for you. We’ll support you to set your goals, plan your supports and keep you informed about NDIS developments.
It can be hard to understand the NDIS and what it means for you. You don’t have to work through it alone – if you’d like to talk to someone about it we’re here to help whenever you need us. Call the MS InfoLine on 1800 177 591 or email email@example.com.
If you invite us to, we will work with you through finding out if you’re eligible for the NDIS and preparing the access request for the NDIA. To understand what’s involved, read more about this here.
If you don’t meet the access requirements we may be able to provide you with information about other supports that could be of benefit to you and help with referral to these. Contact us on the MS InfoLine 1800 177 591or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The planning process
MS Queensland can help you identify your needs, goals and current supports and start the planning process. We can help you prepare before you meet with the planner, to consider the things that impact your capacity to live your life every day and the supports and services available through the NDIS that might help you.
The more you prepare, the better your NDIS plan will be at providing the support you need. We can support and advise you through this important time, being guided by you and your needs. There’s more information about this here.
Managing your plan
We can help you understand your plan. When you first receive it you might like to discuss it with us to help you understand all the details. You will need to make decisions about managing the budget and which service providers to use – there are a number of ways you can get help with these. MS Queensland is here to help with advice and referrals.
You plan will explain which supports are considered reasonable and necessary for you. There’s more information about the sort of things that may be included here. You may also choose to access supports and services which are not part of the NDIS but these must be funded separately. If you have any questions about what is or is not included in your plan you can talk to us at MS Queensland.
As a participant, you can choose your own service providers, giving you control over decisions about how to live your life. You don’t have to do this alone, the NDIA’s planner can assist you if that’s what you’d like, and you can call us on the MS InfoLine on 1800 177 591 for assistance.
