I am a 20 year old student studying Tourism at UQ, St Lucia.
I have just begun an internship for an international sustainable tourism education network. I have MS myself and met David, Fundraising support officer at MS Queensland, through the 2016 MS Moonlight Walk. I was the top 15th fundraiser so was invited to the Thank You Function which is where we discussed what I would like to discuss with you.
I am extremely passionate about sustainable tourism, especially accessibility and inclusivity for all. I am only a third year undergraduate student but would love to start making connections and potentially being able to make
a positive change/s for the future world.
I was only diagnosed 21st December 2015, but had symptoms which I dismissed all through high school. But what I'm trying to say is only recently have I been able to see the world through a different lens. I have experienced many unfortunate instances in terms of poor accessibility - physical accessibility and lack of awareness - and have heard stories from many others.
Sorry for rambling, I am trying to keep it short and sweet. But essentially, I would love to increase awareness
and make a positive change somehow.
