About the Cairns Marathon 2019
‘The inaugural Cairns Marathon Festival is set to become a must-do destination event in Australia for all running and lifestyle enthusiasts. Located in beautiful North Queensland, this is an event no to be missed!
Event distances include the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and the 2km. Each road race will take in the best that Cairns has to offer. On-course and post-race entertainment in Fogarty Park are an integral element of the participant’s overall event experience.

Why join Team Cure MS?
Will you join us on our mission to raise as much money as it takes to find a cure for MS and give hope to people like Rhonda?
Rhonda was diagnosed with MS in 2016 after experiencing symptoms including severe fatigue, cognitive issues and constant pain in her lower back.
Rhonda and her daughter-in-law Manale (pictured: right) both joined Team Cure MS shortly after her diagnosis, to help raise awareness and feel part of the wider community in our fight to bear MS.
Rhonda says “I choose to get involved as I have MS and struggle daily jut with basic things such as walking, emptying the dishwasher even dressing myself. So, for me this is a cause close to my heart.”
After Rhonda’s diagnosis, Manale was passionate and wanted to show Rhonda that the whole family are backing her in her journey with MS, and that they are never going to give up.
“By joining Team Cure MS we are able to support MS research projects to help find a cure for the future. I hope that this means my kids will be able to spend more quality time with their Nana, my husband gets more time with his mother and my father-in-law gets precious time with his wife, so that we get to make more magical moments for her to treasure.”
